Bachelor of Information Technology is an Under-Graduate Information Technology course. The Bachelor of Information Technology degree course is awarded after successfully completing a three years program in the study, design, development, implementation, support, or management of information systems with the use of software applications and computer hardware to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and securely retrieve information.
The Bachelor of Information Technology degree is a comprehensive course that involves the study of computing technology, covering everything from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases. The Bachelor of Information Technology course includes the study of software development, software testing, software engineering, computer networking, web design, databases, programming, etc.
Bachelor of Information Technology Eligibility
The students must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination in the Science stream with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as subjects studied by a recognized Board.
The candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks at their Intermediate level.
Some reputed colleges and institutes also conduct entrance examinations to get admission to the course.
Selection to the degree course in these colleges is based on marks secured in the final merit i.e., total marks aggregated in the final exams of 10+2 and the entrance exam.
