GMIU has launched program for design and home science.The Faculty of Design aspires to excellence through its unique teaching methods, theoretical grounding and real-world learning by focusing on a human-centered approach, collaborative working, and engagement with industry, innovation, harnessing latest technologies, and advancing sustainable practices. Through meaningful design, it aims to enhance the quality of life. The course aims to provide designers a clear perspective on creativity and its application in innovative design. It introduces techniques for students to get new, fresh and original design ideas. The Home Science course is a study about science involving food and nutrition, health, environment, human development and other departments in the science field. Biology, Physiology, Hygiene, Sociology, Rural development, Child Development, Family Relations, Community Life, Arts, Food & Nutrition, Textiles, Clothes, and Home Management are some of the key study areas in Home Science. Home Science is an option for anyone who wants to learn more about these topics in depth. This programme is open to candidates in the Arts, Sciences, and Business. Home Science gives in-depth knowledge about the topics and later graduates can pursue their careers in the relevant field.
