About Computer Aided Costume Design and Dress Making (DIPLOMA (Lateral /C2D))
Diploma in Costume Design and Dress Making Technology is a three year diploma level fashion designing course which mainly covers topics such as fashion designing, sewing technology, basic design, computer aided design, fashion and apparel marketing, design ideas in garment, costume and textiles etc. Candidates who have completed this course will gain an ability to think for new ideas and new fashions to develop a product. These candidates will also gain knowledge about fashion designing. Fashion refers to the current popular style or current trend in clothing, footwear or accessories. Costume design is defined as a art or a practice of designing costume for the overall appearance of a performer or a character. Costume designing involves aspects such as research, design and building the final product. In this course students learn dress making concepts such as handling of tools.
