DR. JIGAR K. ANDHARIA is an accomplished academician and researcher in the field of Mechanical Engineering. He has completed his Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences from Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) and holds a Master’s degree in Thermal Engineering from Gujarat Technological University.

With over 5 years of dedicated research experience at CSIR–Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI), he has significantly contributed to MNRE-sponsored projects focused on renewable and sustainable energy systems. He is a recipient of the prestigious CSIR-Senior Research Fellowship (SRF), recognizing his excellence in research.

His core research expertise lies in solar thermal systems, energy storage technologies (sensible and latent heat), solar drying systems, and decentralized renewable energy applications for rural and industrial sectors. He has published several SCI-indexed research papers in high-impact international journals such as Solar Energy, Journal of Energy Storage, and Cleaner Engineering and Technology, contributing to advancements in sustainable energy solutions.

Dr. Andharia has also collaborated with reputed national and international research institutions, contributing to interdisciplinary and global research initiatives. His work includes development and performance analysis of advanced solar dryers, phase change material-based energy systems, and innovative thermal technologies aimed at improving energy efficiency and sustainability.

Apart from research, he has actively contributed in curriculum development and skill-based education. He has taught multiple core subjects and delivered expert lectures on renewable energy and solar technologies at various platforms including Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA).

His areas of interest include Thermal Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Production Technology, and Sustainable Engineering Solutions.
