
NSS was established with the mission for students. The first duty of the students should be, not to treat their period of study as one of the opportunities for indulgence in intellectual luxury, but for preparing themselves for final dedication in the service of those who provided the sinews of the nation with the national goods & services so essential to society. Advising them to form a living contact with the community in whose midst their institution is located, he suggested that instead of undertaking academic research about economic and social disability, the students should do "something positive so that the life of the villagers might be raised to a higher material and moral level".
During the event, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi emphasized the concept of a developed India by 2047. His address from the ramparts of the Red Fort resonated with the dreams and aspirations of 1.4 billion citizens. To achieve this vision, hard work is essential, but equally crucial is our national character. Nations that have progressed and overcome challenges share a common catalyst: their strong national character. Strengthening our national character is paramount as we move forward. The purpose of the “Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth” meeting was to engage young minds in discussions and inspire them to contribute actively towards building a developed India by the year 2047. The event aimed to foster a sense of national character, unity, and excellence in production. A grand Triranga yatra was organized by the Divya Bhaskar group on the occasion of 15th August in Bhavnagar. The purpose of which was to unite all the people and celebrate Independence Day together. In which the students of Gyanmanjari Innovative University participated in this grand rally as part of Tricolor Yatra.Participants:Students of various departments and NSS volunteers participated in this rally. Gyanmanjari Innovative University, driven by its commitment to environmental responsibility, has actively embraced the Vibrant Gujarat 2024-5 P Campaign to promote environmental awareness among its students. Aligned with the guidelines from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), the college initiated a pledge taking ceremony on 09/01/2024 to engage students in the mission of sustainable living.
Gyanmanjari Innovative University organized a workshop guider by Young Indians and EMRI (Emergency Management and Research Institute) regarding accidental first response and CPR training. These programs play a crucial role in equipping individuals with life-saving skills. CPR Training: • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a vital skill that can save lives during cardiac emergencies. • CPR involves chest compressions and rescue breaths to maintain blood circulation and oxygen supply. • Training covers techniques such as: o Hands-only CPR: Focusing on chest compressions without mouth-to-mouth breathing. o Full CPR: Combining chest compressions with rescue breaths. Approx 85 Participants learnt how to recognize signs of cardiac arrest, perform CPR correctly.
Joy of Giving is an activity that is organized to give joy to other people. Every year, Joy of Giving activity is organized at Gyanmanjari Innovative University, this activity is an activity of collecting clothes and donating them to the needy people. Every month, a social activity is organized at Gyanmanjari Innovative University, which can be useful in the society in some way. One of the important activities of Joy of Giving is the Cloth Donation Mega Drive. In this clothes donation mega drive, 08 coordinators including Principal of Pharmacy college Dr. Viram J. Parmar who is the Director of NSS and Social Activities, joined this drive and around more than 60 students and NSS volunteers participated. Everyone participated enthusiastically in this clothes donation drive. The "Joy of Giving" Cloth Donation Drive is an annual initiative aimed at spreading warmth, kindness, and hope to those in need. The primary purpose of this drive is to collect gently used and new clothes and distribute them to underprivileged individuals, including the homeless, orphaned children, and families in need. Through this initiative, we aim to Support the Needy: Provide clothing to those who lack basic necessities, ensuring they stay warm and dignified, Promote Sustainable Giving: Encourage the community to donate reusable clothes instead of discarding them, reducing waste, Inspire Social Responsibility: Foster a culture of compassion and generosity among individuals and organizations and bring Smiles & Comfort: Spread happiness by ensuring that no one has to suffer due to a lack of adequate clothing. By organizing the "Joy of Giving" drive every year, we create a meaningful impact on countless lives and strengthen the spirit of giving in our community. Joy of Giving is an activity of giving joy. Through the Joy of Giving activity, student volunteers collected clothes from various circles of Bhavnagar from 24th January to 26th January 2025, in which many clothes were donated by people who had the spirit of donation. Later, those clothes were separated according to size and distributed on 1st February 2025 in Kumbharwada, Tilaknagar and Juna Bandar of Bhavnagar.

Gyanmanjari Innovative University successfully celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025 with great enthusiasm. The event aimed to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through the practice of yoga, as part of the university’s commitment to NSS and social responsibility.
An initiative of Swachhata Abhiyan has been carried out by Gyanmanjari Innovative University, in which on 20 th February by commerce department organized a cleaning campaign on the theme of world of social justice. Participants: In this cleaning drive, 6 staff members including the commerce Head of Department commerce and teachers joined this drive and around 60 students and NSS volunteers participated. Everyone enthusiastically participated in this cleanliness campaign and joined this cleaning campaign. Campus Pride: Enhances the aesthetic appeal of the university, instilling pride among students and faculty. This monthly program not only aims to keep the campus clean but also strives to instill lifelong habits of cleanliness and environmental care in participants. Conclusion Cleanliness campaign which was done by commerce Department. The Head commerce of and Faculty and students of commerce participated in this campaign. Which was successfully completed.
On 23rd May, 2025 at GMIU campus (Computer Lab – FF25), Gyanmanjari Innovative University (GMIU) in collaboration with the Faith Foundation (Baroda) jointly organized a Tobacco Awareness Activity on 23rd May 2025 to spread awareness about the serious health hazards of tobacco use. The event was conducted at Computer Lab – FF25 and was a meaningful step toward building a tobacco-free mindset among the youth and academic community. The activity was coordinated by Prof. Pradip Prajapati, who ensured smooth execution of the entire event. The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Viram Parmar Sir, Director of NSS and Social Activities, who inspired students to become health ambassadors and agents of change in society. Although Dr. H.M. Nimbark, Provost and CEO of GMIU, was not present at the event, his continuous support and encouragement played a key role in making this initiative possible. His commitment to student development and health-related awareness activities has always been a guiding force behind such meaningful programs. As a mark of appreciation, the university welcomed the Faith Foundation team with a token gift. Faith Foundation is a reputed NGO based in Vadodara, Gujarat, founded by Suzaane Christian in 2005. The organization is dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle free from addiction, especially focusing on de-addiction, tobacco control, HIV/AIDS support, education, and women's empowerment. The foundation is well-known for its impactful programs like the Yellow Line Campaign and anti-tobacco rallies, working actively with communities and institutions to build awareness and inspire behavior change. GMIU is proud to be one of its collaborative partners.
