Expert Talk

An expert talk on Industrial Safety was organized at Gyanmanjari Innovative University to create awareness among students about the importance of safety practices in industries, especially in chemical and manufacturing sectors. The session was delivered by Mr. Preet Saraiya, a representative from Agrocel Industry Private Limited. The event was held on 11 February 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the university campus.

During the session, the speaker explained the concept of industrial safety and highlighted how safety plays a crucial role in preventing accidents in industries. He emphasized that industries, especially chemical industries, involve the handling of hazardous chemicals, high pressure equipment, and high-temperature processes, which can be extremely dangerous if proper safety measures are not followed.

Mr. Preet Saraiya also shared his real-life industrial experiences, including an incident related to an industrial blast that occurred in the past. He explained how such accidents can happen due to negligence, improper handling of chemicals, equipment failure, or lack of safety awareness. Through this example, he made students understand the serious consequences of industrial accidents, including loss of life, environmental damage, and huge economic losses.

The speaker further discussed why the chemical industry is considered one of the most hazardous sectors, as it deals with toxic, flammable, and reactive substances. He explained the importance of following safety protocols, using personal protective equipment (PPE), proper training, and emergency preparedness to prevent accidents.
