Expert Talk

An expert talk was organized on 20 February 2026 at Gyanmanjari Institute of Technology, Bhavnagar, for Students of Electrical and Electronics & Communication Engineering (Semesters 2,4 & 6). A total of 20 students participated in the session under the coordination of Prof. Rahul Parmar.

The session was conducted by experts Dhruvit Patel from the Electrical Engineering Department and Sagar Lohia from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. The talk focused on the importance of renewable energy technologies and their role in sustainable development. The experts explained various renewable energy sources including solar, wind, biomass, and small hydropower, along with detailed insights into solar photovoltaic systems, system components, working principles, and grid-connected as well as off-grid applications.

The session also highlighted energy conservation techniques, energy auditing practices, and government initiatives supporting renewable energy adoption. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, students gained exposure to real-world applications and emerging opportunities in the renewable energy sector, thereby strengthening their understanding of sustainable power technologies.

About Workshop:

A workshop on "Expert Talk By tricks robotics" was held on [12/02/2025] at [XF-01], bringing together professionals, academics, and students to discuss the latest advancements and innovations in the field of electrical engineering. The event aimed to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration among participants.

About Activities:
An expert talk on “PLC SCADA ” was successfully organized on 18th July 2025 (Friday) at Room
No. TF-14, specifically for the students of EC and Computer Engineering branches (Diploma &
Degree).
The seminar was conducted by Sofcon India Pvt. Ltd., a National Skill Development Corporation
(NSDC) and Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) affiliated company, also

associated with ESSCI, IASC, and HSSC. The primary objective of the event was to provide industry-
oriented knowledge and practical exposure related to the rapidly evolving field of Artificial

Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI-ML).
The keynote speakers were:
● Mr. Vishal Vadher, Training Manager
● Mr. Harvish Upadhyay, Automation Engineer
The experts shared valuable insights on how automation and digital technologies are shaping modern
industries. Key topics included real-time control systems, industrial communication, AI-ML
applications, and trends in smart manufacturing. The session also highlighted career opportunities

and essential skills for future engineers. An interactive Q&A allowed students to clarify doubts. E-
certificates were issued to registered participants. The seminar was well-received, enriching students

with practical knowledge and motivating them to explore careers in emerging technologies.

Objective of Talk

World Entrepreneurs’ Day is celebrated globally on 21st August to honor innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit. Gyanmanjari University organized this event with the active participation of Degree students from various disciplines. The program aimed to promote awareness about entrepreneurship and encourage students to develop creative ideas and skills for becoming future leaders.

• To create awareness about the importance of entrepreneurship in the modern economy.
• To inspire students with real-life success stories of entrepreneurs.
• To promote innovation, creativity, and self-employment mindset among students.
• To provide a platform for students to showcase their entrepreneurial ideas.

Guest Speaker:The program was graced by Dr. Vimal Jagad from Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Bhavnagar, who shared his valuable insights and experiences about entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup culture.

About the Activity:
The program began with a welcome speech by the faculty coordinator, highlighting the significance of World Entrepreneurs’ Day. Several activities were conducted including:

• Expert Talk / Guest Session: Eminent entrepreneurs shared their journey, challenges, and strategies for success.
• Student Participation: Degree students presented innovative business ideas, models, and start-up concepts.
• Interactive Session: Students interacted with experts to clear doubts regarding funding, business planning, and execution.
• Entrepreneurship Quiz/Presentation: To engage students in learning entrepreneurial concepts in an interactive way.

The session was conducted by Ms. Sneha Ghosh and Ms. Keertana Nair, ambassadors from IIT-Bombay. They shared valuable information about exam patterns, eligibility criteria, preparation strategies, and the importance of GATE and JAM scores for admission into IITs, NITs, and IISc. The speakers also emphasized opportunities in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and research fellowships available through GATE qualifications. Students from different streams of B.Tech, B.Sc, and M.Sc actively participated and interacted with the ambassadors during the Q&A session.

Expert talk about Solar Energy was conducted by Mr. Santosh Jani for the students of electrical engineering department.

A workshop on "Modern Trends in Electrical Engineering" was held on 8-08-2024, bringing together professionals, academics, and students to discuss the latest advancements and innovations in the field of electrical engineering. The event aimed to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration among participants. 

The recent expert talk and alumni interaction session for the Electrical Engineering department aimed to bridge the gap between current students and industry professionals. The event featured a guest speaker from a leading tech company and alumni who shared their insights and experiences. 

Prof. Nitin Adroja & Prof. Dhaval Raval from AITS, Rajkot for conducting the workshop along with hands on practice based on “Simulation with Proteus and Interfacing with Arduino”.

Mr. Pratik Bhuva, MD,BNB Solar, BNB Group for the seminar conducted based on Solar Energy Scope: Future of Renewable Energy.

Mr. Keyur S. Dhagia, Engineer, Hindalco Captive Power Plant (CPP), Renukoot, Uttar Pradesh for the seminar conducted based on Power Plant Engineering and management.

The main objective of this workshop was to make students understand importance of Finite Element Method in recent times. Also, the session was planned with intention of filling the bridge gap between industry & academics through training of FEMM 4.2 simulation environment.

The felicitator invited was Mr. Amiya Thakor from Apikore Corporation Ahmedabad, operating multiple businesses like Architectural Planning and Engineering Consultancy services and Turn-key Project execution for sixteen years.The field of Electrical Engineering and role of Electrical Engineers was briefly explained. Electrical engineers conduct research, and design, develop, test, and oversee the development of electrical systems.

An expert talk was organized for the 1st and 3rd semester students of Electrical Engineering based on Global Warming & Role of Electrical Engineer. Mr. Mahendra Nathavat was the expert invited to deliver the talk. He is retired Dy. Commissioner of Industries, Government of Gujarat.

Since we had an expert from ONGC, the main objective of this expert lecture was to introduce students with working as part of ONGC and required skills for making one compatible with requirements of such PSUs.

An expert talk was organized for the 1st semester students of Electrical Engineering based on Global Warming & Role of Electrical Engineer.Expert Dr. Jignesh Makwana was key well know entrepreneur of Bhavnagar. Dr Jignesh makwana is founder and CEO of rhymak electronics limited. Company is involving in the online business of the electronics starter and electrical vehicles manufacture.
