Bachelor Of Pharmacy Industry Visit

An educational visit to the Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre (GBRC), Gandhinagar was organized for the 7th semester B. Pharm students of Gujarat Maritime Institute University (GMIU) on 4th August 2025. The objective of the visit was to expose students to advanced research facilities and real-world applications of biotechnology in healthcare, diagnostics, and genomics. 

The visit was conducted in two batches to accommodate all students. The first batch (11:00 AM to 1:00 PM) and the second batch (2:00 PM to 4:00 PM) were guided through various divisions of GBRC. The tour was led by Dr. Sanman Samova, who explained ongoing research projects, state-of-the-art equipment, and the significance of biotechnology in modern medicine and agriculture. 

Students had the opportunity to explore the Shared Lab Facility, interact with research staff, and gain practical insights into molecular biology, bioinformatics, and environmental biotechnology. The visit was both informative and inspiring, helping bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical exposure.

Gyanmanjari Pharmacy College have arranged Industrial vist at Medinex Pvt.Ltd (Mamsa) near by Bhavnagar. It is one of the most leading API manufacturing company. Students of semester 2 of Pharmacy have got visited and gained thorogh knowledge regarding different medicinal chemistry process and also visited water treatment plant. All students have gained knowledge about cGLP and cGMP plant and how they run.

Gyanmanjari Pharamcy semester students have visited Sarvottam Dairy (Sihor) which is situated at Sihor town near by Bhavnagar city. Around 75 students and faculties were participated this visit. They have got enogh knowledge regarding milk pastuarization, stirring, packaging and supply chain which is beneficial to them as per their curriculum.
