WORKSHOPE ON LINKEDIN PROFILE & RESUME BUILDING


The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering had organized the workshop on resume building and LinkedIn profile framing for diploma engineering students.

Entrepreneurs Interaction


Objective of Talk 

World Entrepreneurs’ Day is celebrated globally on 21st August to honor innovation,  leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit. Gyanmanjari University organized this event with the active participation of students from various disciplines. The program aimed to promote awareness about entrepreneurship and encourage students to develop creative ideas and skills for becoming future leaders. 

To create awareness about the importance of entrepreneurship in the modern economy.

To inspire students with real-life success stories of entrepreneurs. 

To promote innovation, creativity, and a self-employment mindset among students. 

To provide a platform for students to showcase their entrepreneurial ideas. 

Guest Speaker: 

The program was graced by Dr. Vimal Jagad from Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED),  Bhavnagar, who shared his valuable insights and experiences about entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup culture. 

About the Activity: 

The program began with a welcome speech by the faculty coordinator, highlighting the significance of World  Entrepreneurs’ Day. Several activities were conducted, including: 

• Expert Talk / Guest Session: Eminent entrepreneurs shared their journey, challenges, and strategies for success. 

• Student Participation: Degree students presented innovative business ideas, models, and start-up concepts. 

• Interactive Session: Students interacted with experts to clear doubts regarding funding, business planning,  and execution. 

• Entrepreneurship Quiz/Presentation: To engage students in learning entrepreneurial concepts in an  interactive way. 

 Outcome of the Program: 

• Students gained knowledge about real-world entrepreneurial challenges and opportunities. • Enhanced confidence and motivation to think innovatively and independently. 

• Exposure to the process of converting an idea into a startup or business venture. 

• Strengthened the entrepreneurial ecosystem within the university. 

Conclusion: 

The celebration of World Entrepreneurs’ Day at Gyanmanjari University was a grand success. It inspired the students to think beyond conventional career paths and to focus on innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship. The event contributed significantly to building a strong foundation for future entrepreneurs among the students.

 

LinkedIn for Engineers


This career-building workshop, organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, was conducted for Degree and Diploma students of Electrical and Electronics & Communication Engineering at Gyanmanjari Innovative University. The session was led by Prof. Bhavesh Tukadiya, who guided students through the step-by-step process of building an impressive resume and a professional LinkedIn profile.

Freelancer Profile Creation & Career Opportunities


The session was conducted by Prof. Jahnvi Mistry, who shared her insights on how to represent one’s technical skills, portfolio, and achievements in a professional manner. Students learned how to write a strong bio, define services, upload project samples, and communicate effectively with clients. The resource person also explained do’s and don’ts of freelancing, payment security, and client management. Practical demonstrations on profile setup and project proposal writing were also given. Students interacted enthusiastically and clarified their doubts regarding different freelancing domains relevant to Electrical and EC Engineering.

Managerial Skill


Introduction

The Department of Electrical and Electronics & Communication Engineering organized an event titled “Earn While Learn – Skill Enhancement & Career Opportunity Awareness Activity” for Diploma and Degree students of Semester 3 and 5.

The session aimed to motivate students to explore practical ways to apply their technical skills for income generation during their academic journey, fostering self-reliance and career readiness.

Objectives

  • To promote awareness of freelancing and part-time technical earning opportunities.
  • To enhance professional and entrepreneurial skills among students.
  • To guide students in balancing academic work with practical earning experiences.
  • To encourage innovation, self-employment, and industrial exposure.

About the Activity

  • The session was conducted by Prof. Hemangi Joshi, Prof. Janhvi Mistry, and Prof. Sahil Pinjani, who collectively guided students on various earning avenues available during their academic period.
  • They explained the use of online freelancing platforms such as Fiverr, Upwork, and Freelancer, and discussed project-based income through industrial collaborations, MSME projects, and startup initiatives.
  • The faculty members shared real-world examples of students earning through project assistance, content creation, and small-scale technical services while continuing their studies.
  • Key topics covered included:
  • Freelancing and online technical service opportunities
  • Industrial internships and MSME-linked projects
  • Resume building and online profile creation
  • Balancing academics and professional commitments

Student Chapter Awareness


Introduction

 

A session on Student Chapters was organized under the Training and Placement and Professional Development Activity at Gyanmanjari Institute of Technology, Bhavnagar. The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Rahul Parmar with the objective of introducing students to the concept, purpose, and benefits of joining professional student chapters such as IEEE, ISTE, and IEI. The session aimed to encourage active participation in academic and technical communities for overall growth.

 

Objectives

 

To create awareness about various professional student chapters and their significance.

 

To motivate students to become members and participate in technical and professional

 

events.

 

To develop leadership, teamwork, and networking skills among students through chapter

 

activities.

 

About the Activity

During the session, Prof. Rahul Parmar explained the structure and functioning of different student chapters and their role in enhancing technical competency and professional exposure. Students were informed about membership processes, opportunities for paper presentations, workshops, and competitions. The session also highlighted the importance of contributing to institutional and professional development through these platforms.

Outcomes

Students gained a clear understanding of the importance of joining student chapters. They learned how these memberships can enhance their career opportunities and technical expertise. The session encouraged students to actively engage in upcoming chapter events and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Alumni Interaction Program


Introduction The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized an Alumni Interaction Program for Degree and Diploma students of 1st, 3rd, and 5th semesters. The session aimed to provide students with real-life industry exposure through the experiences of a successful alumnus. Objective To bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices. To motivate students by showcasing the career journey of alumni. To share valuable insights on professional growth and workplace culture. About Activities: The session was graced by Mr. Abhay Shukla, an alumnus of our institute, currently working with Hitachi Company. • He shared his work experience, explaining the challenges and opportunities in the industry. • He highlighted the importance of technical knowledge, communication skills, and continuous learning. • Along with professional insights, he recalled his college memories, inspiring students to enjoy their academic journey while preparing for their future careers.

Student Startup and Innovation Policy


Introduction The Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP) Awareness Session was organized by the Electrical Engineering Department to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students. The session aimed to create awareness about the support, funding, and mentoring opportunities available under SSIP for student innovators and project developers. Objectives ● To inform students about the objectives and benefits of the Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP). ● To encourage students to convert their innovative ideas into real-time prototypes and startups. ● To guide students on how to apply for SSIP funding and utilize available resources effectively. ● To inspire a culture of innovation, creativity, and problem-solving among young minds. About the Activity The session was conducted by Prof. Dipak Jani, an expert in innovation and startup mentorship, on 04/11/25 at venue name, GF-06. Students from Diploma and Degree Semesters 1, 3, and 5 attended the session enthusiastically. Prof. Jani explained the key features of SSIP 2.0, eligibility criteria, proposal submission process, and success stories of student startups. The session also included an interactive Q&A segment where students clarified their doubts related to innovation and funding.

Educational Awareness Program on International Relations & Cross-Border Learning Opportunities


Introduction The Department of Electrical Engineering organized an Educational Awareness Program on International Relations and Cross-Border Learning Opportunities to enhance students’ understanding of global exposure, international collaborations, and academic exchange programs. The session aimed to connect students with the possibilities of studying, training, and collaborating beyond national boundaries through institutional partnerships. Objectives ● To create awareness among students about international academic and cultural exchange programs. ● To guide students on global career prospects and higher education opportunities abroad. ● To introduce the role and initiatives of the International Relations Cell (IR Cell). ● To motivate students to enhance their global competencies and readiness for international exposure. About the Activity The session was conducted by Prof. Hiren Bhatt from the IR Cell on 04/11/25 at Venue: GF-06, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Around 43 students from Diploma and Degree Semesters 1, 3, and 5 actively participated. Prof. Bhatt shared detailed insights on various international programs, student exchange initiatives, and collaborative opportunities with foreign universities. The session included interactive discussions, real examples of international experiences, and guidance on how to prepare for such opportunities.

Pre placement talk


Introduction 

A Pre Placement Talk was organized under the Training and Placement Cell at Gyanmanjari Institute of Technology, Bhavnagar. The session aimed to prepare students for upcoming campus recruitment drives by providing valuable insights into placement processes, interview strategies, and industry expectations. The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Rahul Parmar and focused on helping students align their academic knowledge with professional requirements.

Objectives 

  • To familiarize students with the recruitment process and expectations of employers.
  • To enhance students’ understanding of interview preparation, resume building, and communication skills.
  • To motivate students to develop technical and interpersonal competencies for successful placements.

About the Activity

  • During the session, Prof. Rahul Parmar explained the stages of campus recruitment, including aptitude tests, group discussions, and personal interviews. Real-life examples of placement experiences were shared to help students understand common challenges and effective ways to overcome them. Guidance was also given on how to prepare an impactful resume and how to present oneself confidently in interviews. The interactive nature of the talk encouraged students to clarify their doubts and actively participate in discussions.

Outcomes

  • Students gained a better understanding of recruitment procedures and corporate expectations.
  • They learned effective strategies for resume preparation and interview performance.
  • The session boosted students’ confidence and readiness for upcoming placement drives.

A workshop on "Enhance Your Career Prospects" was held on 27/09/2024 at GMIU Seminar Hall, bringing together professionals, academics, and students to discuss the Resume Framing and LinkedIn Profile making. The event aimed to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration among participants.

The Department of electrical engineering arranges a student development program on “Autocad electrical master class”. Prof. Prof. Disha Siddhpura conducted informative sessions with practical demonstrations.
