Workshop

This intensive, hands-on workshop is designed for food technology students, laboratory technicians, and aspiring microbiologists to master the fundamental skills required for microbial cultivation and isolation. Participants will gain a deep understanding of aseptic techniques and the principles behind obtaining pure cultures from mixed environmental or clinical samples. The session will cover a variety of agar plating methods, detailing the specific use-cases for each. Under expert guidance, attendees will practice and perfect their loop handling and pressure control to achieve optimal single-colony isolation. By the end of this workshop, participants will be proficient in standardized laboratory protocols essential for downstream microbiological analysis, morphological study, and biochemical testing.
